At The Carriage Works we want to connect with the community and want to start by introducing a new series on our blog: “Employee Spotlight”. Every month, we will introduce a different member of our team – come and get to know us!
For our first Employee Spotlight and feature of the month, we would like to introduce our beloved Project Manager, Travis Prewitt. Travis began working with The Carriage Works team in 2004. He spent nine years refining his skills in the wood shop, earning him a promotion to manager of the shop and crew. He has been excelling in his role as project manager for the past four years.
Travis oversees the daily operation of the shop and ensures each project coming through is done to the highest quality. In order to be successful in this role, Travis puts together a game plan every morning of the most important tasks in each department: wood shop, steel shop, assembly and paint.
When a project is finished, Travis is the lucky guy who travels to client sites and installs each unit.
Away from work, Travis spends his time with his wife, two children, and extended family. He enjoys watching football (especially the Steelers) and eating an endless supply of tacos. If you can keep up, you’ll find him dirt bike riding and snowboarding.
When asked what his favorite project was, he couldn’t narrow it down to just one!
Here are a few of his favorite projects:
